Hello, I'm Mel and I am a photographer and artist based in Midland Michigan.

My passion is photographing your precious moments to create beautiful art that will be cherished for generations. 

There's nothing more important to me than family and I am blessed to have a beautiful family: my husband, two boys, and two dogs! My husband and I grew up in Australia. In 2002 we moved to Norway, where our boys were born and then in 2013, we moved here to Midland, Michigan. I have loved living and working as a photographer in all three countries. I consider them all to be my home.

I have been photographing since my early teens. I fell in love with photography then and still love it 30 years later! Over the 30 years, I have worked in many different areas of photography, but my passion has always been for timeless families, children and high school seniors' portraiture. 

During the year I am also a teaching artist for students with disabilities, working with both Michigan Arts Access at Artreach, and in the schools, and also working with Creative 360. 

When I am not photographing or teaching, I am usually creating my own art or spending with my family & freinds, skiing, hiking, kayaking, or just relaxing.

The best thing about my job is the different people I get to meet and the friendships I make. I love hearing about your story and creating special memories that are cherished for many years.
